A valid UK phone number and email address
Your UK passport, payslip, or P60 to confirm your identity

Scroll down the page and click the green 'Sign in' button.
Click the 'Create sign in details' link below the Sign in button.
Enter your email address and HMRC will email you a time-sensitive confirmation code.
Enter the code to verify your email address.
Choose a password and set up a recovery word or a memorable piece of information.
Once complete, you’ll receive a 12-digit Government Gateway ID. Save this somewhere safe, it’s your login to HMRC online services.
