Two-factor authenticator

Use your phone to generate a unique verification code

Updated over 7 months ago

2-Step verification provides stronger security for your account by requiring a second step of verification when you sign in. In addition to your password, you’ll also need a code generated by the authenticator app on your phone.

To use this security feature you must subscribe to the Enterprise Edition of Glasscubes. To enable it, navigate to 'Account Settings'>'Password control'. Then check 'Enable Two Factor Authentication' and the 'Enable Token Two Factor Authentication' box and then press 'Save'.

If not already enabled by the Administrator, users also have the option to enable it by navigating to their profile icon, selecting 'Your profile' and then 'Security'. They will then be able to enable it under the 'Additional security' section.

After it has been enabled users will get the message above the next time they try to login.

There are several mobile phone applications that generate 2-step verification codes on your phone. Google's is simple to use, free to download and available for both the iPhone or Android devices.

It's quick to set up and easy for users to generate their code each time they login.

If a user loses or replaces their mobile device, they will need to select 'Lost your device?'.

The user will then be prompted to request approval from one of the administrators. Once the request has been approved, the user will be prompted to open the 2FA application on their new mobile device and scan the image to generate the 6 digit code.
